Welcome to Dawn of Night. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when using our platform.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information:

• Uploaded songs, lyrics, images, and profile content

• IP addresses and browser/device information
• Session and login activity
• Profile customization and CSS settings
• Purchase and transaction information

2. How We Use Information

• Operate the platform
• Provide music and social features
• Maintain security and moderation systems
• Prevent spam, abuse, or fraud
• Improve platform functionality
• Store profile and uploaded content
• Process transactions and AI music features

3. Messaging & Community Systems

Dawn of Night includes messaging, friend systems, comments, and social interaction features.

Messages and reports may be reviewed by moderators or administrators if required for abuse investigations, moderation enforcement, legal compliance, or platform safety.

4. Cookies & Sessions

We use cookies and session technologies to:

• Keep users logged in
• Protect accounts
• Remember settings and preferences
• Improve site performance
• Maintain security systems

Disabling cookies may cause some features to stop functioning properly.

5. User Content

Profiles, uploaded music, lyrics, comments, and shared content may be publicly visible depending on user settings and platform features.

Users are responsible for the content they upload and share.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect account and platform data. However, no online service can guarantee complete security.

Users should use strong passwords and protect their account credentials.

7. GDPR Rights

If you are located in the European Union (EU), you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including:

• Correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account or data
• Request information about stored personal information

8. Account Deletion

Users may request account deletion.

Certain information may remain in backups, moderation logs, fraud prevention systems, or legal records for a limited period when required for operational or legal reasons.

9. Third-Party Services

Dawn of Night may use third-party services including:

• Hosting providers
• Payment processors
• Security and analytics services
• OpenAI — processes photographs you choose to submit to Fix an Old Photo (on the website, in Dawn of Night and in Becky's Lens)
• EvoLink — runs the AI models behind our AI music, AI video, NOVA's AI features and Becky's Lens's Living Photo and Together Again videos, for the content you choose to send (see 9b and 9c)
• ElevenLabs — turns speech in clips you send to NOVA's Super AI into text (see 9b)

9a. Photo Restoration (Fix an Old Photo)

Fix an Old Photo is optional. Nothing happens to a photograph unless you choose that feature, select the photo yourself, and confirm the on-screen notice before it is sent.

When you use it, the photograph you selected is uploaded to Dawn of Night, restored on our own restoration computer, and also sent to OpenAI, which repairs the damage and returns a restored copy. OpenAI receives only the photograph itself and the short instruction describing the repair. It does not receive your name, your account, your email or anything else about you.

The photograph you uploaded is deleted from our server once the restored copy has been produced. The restored copy is kept in your account so you can look at it, save it or share it, and it is removed when you delete it or when you ask us to delete your account.

The restored picture is produced by AI. It may not be an exact reproduction of the original, and damaged or missing detail may not be fully recoverable. Photographs are never used to train any AI model, are never sold, and are never shown to anyone else.

Those providers may process limited technical information required for platform functionality.

9b. NOVA AI Video & Music Editor (the NOVA app)

NOVA AI Video & Music Editor (“NOVA”) is our video editing app for Android and iPhone. Editing and exporting happen on your device: your clips, photos and songs stay on your device, and editing and exporting never need an account.

A free Dawn of Night account (the same account described in this policy) is used only for NOVA's AI features, for posting to Night Reels and for coins. Nothing below is sent until you are signed in and use that feature.

• AI Auto-Cut — the song you pick is sent to Dawn of Night and to EvoLink, which describes the song's parts and mood so the cut can follow them. The beat timing is measured on your device. A song we have already analysed is recognised from a fingerprint of the file and is not sent again.
• Super AI — a few still frames and a short part of the sound from each clip, the song's beat timing and any words you type are sent to Dawn of Night and to EvoLink; speech in those clips may also be sent to ElevenLabs to turn it into text. Your full videos are never uploaded.
• AI video — the photos you pick and the words you type are sent to Dawn of Night and to EvoLink, which makes the video. The finished video is kept in your account until you delete it; the photos are removed from our server when the video is finished.
• AI captions, translation and the AI helper — the song (to time its words), the caption lines (to translate them) or your question with a short text description of your edit (not the video) are sent to Dawn of Night and to EvoLink.
• AI music — if you ask NOVA to make a song, the description of the song you want is sent to our AI music service, which makes it.
• Night Reels — a video you choose to post, with its caption, is uploaded and shown on Night Reels with the privacy setting you choose. Posts go through the same moderation as every other post.
• Technical report — after an edit, NOVA can send a short report: numbers about the edit and how long your device took. It contains no video, photos, audio or file names, and you can turn it off in NOVA's Settings.
• Purchases — NOVA Pro and coin packs are bought through Google Play or the App Store. We receive only the purchase confirmation needed to add coins to your account, never your card details. NOVA Pro is checked on your device.

Our AI service providers receive only what the feature you used needs. They do not receive your name, email address or account details. We do not sell this data. NOVA shows no ads and does not use the advertising ID.

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete my account in NOVA, or at www.dawnofnight.com/account-deletion.php.

9c. Becky's Lens (the Becky's Lens app)

Becky's Lens is our photo app for iPhone, iPad and Android. It uses the same free Dawn of Night account described in this policy, and everything in this policy applies to it. Every photo tool needs you to be signed in, and nothing is sent until you choose the photo yourself, tick the box that says it goes to an outside AI service, and confirm.

• Fix an Old Photo — works exactly as described in 9a: the photo you choose is restored on our own restoration computer and by OpenAI, with any short wish you type.
• Living Photo and Together Again — the photo you choose (for Together Again, their photo and yours), the movement you pick and any words you type are sent to Dawn of Night and to EvoLink, which makes the short video. A voice is off unless you turn it on; if you do, the short voice clip made on your device from the words you choose is sent with the photo. The photos and the voice clip are deleted from our server once the video is made. The finished video is kept in your account so you can watch, save or share it, until you delete it or your account.
• Made by AI — every repaired photo and video is made by AI, is marked that way, and may not be an exact copy of the real person or place. You can report a result from inside the app.
• Purchases — Photo Basic, Photo Plus and coin packs are bought through the App Store or Google Play. We receive only the purchase confirmation needed to add your plan or coins to your account, never your card details.

Our AI service providers receive only the photos, voice clip and instructions the feature needs. They do not receive your name, email address or account details. Your photos are never used to train AI, never sold and never shown to anyone else. Becky's Lens shows no ads, does not track you and does not use the advertising ID.

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings → Delete my account in Becky's Lens, or at www.dawnofnight.com/account-deletion.php.

10. Children's Privacy

Dawn of Night is not intended for users under 13 years old.

Accounts found violating minimum age requirements may be removed.

11. Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves and new features are added.

Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised policy.
